Here's the answers to our most frequently asked questions.

  • What makes this different from free guides or webinars?

Most advice you’ll find online is either too generic or too short-term. This programme is structured over six weeks, so you can put strategies into practice, ask questions along the way, and stay supported through the ups and downs. It’s practical, real-world, and designed to create change that lasts.

  • Who is this programme for?

This course is designed for parents of children aged 1-7 who find mealtimes stressful, frustrating, or worrying. Whether your child eats only a handful of foods, refuses whole food groups, or mealtimes regularly end in conflict, this programme will give you tools, strategies, and reassurance.

  • Is this just for “fussy eaters”?

Not at all. What’s often called “picky eating” is usually part of normal development, but it can feel overwhelming when it’s your child. The course covers a wide range of eating behaviours - from food refusal to small appetites to rigid food preferences - and gives you strategies that apply across the spectrum.

  • What age is it suitable for?

The programme is created for parents of children between 1-7 years old. Some of the strategies may still be useful for older children, but the examples and focus are on the toddler and early years.

  • Do I need to attend live?

We strongly encourage joining live if you can - it’s where you’ll get the most out of Lucy’s teaching and the weekly Q&A. But if you can’t make it, every session is recorded and uploaded to your private portal to watch back at a time that suits you.

  • How long are the sessions?

Each weekly session runs for around 60 minutes (45 minutes teaching, 15 minutes live Q&A). Starting on 28 January at 8pm, and running every Wednesday at the same time for 6 weeks.

  • What if my child has allergies or medical issues?

Lucy is an experienced paediatric dietitian who has worked extensively with children who have allergies, feeding challenges, or more complex needs. The core programme is designed for the majority of families, but if you have specific concerns you’ll be able to ask questions in the weekly Q&A or access additional resources in the parent portal.

  • What’s included in the programme?

    • 6 weekly live teaching + Q&A sessions (8pm UK time)
    • Access to all session replays via a private portal
    • Weekly practical activities and check-ins
    • Step-by-step strategies for common challenges
    • Access to a private Facebook community for peer support
    • Optional WhatsApp broadcast group for updates and reminders
    • Bonus content and resources from Lucy

  • How much does it cost?

The programme costs £65 per week (£390 total) for six weeks. This is less than the cost of a single one-to-one consultation with a specialist, with the added benefit of six weeks of teaching, community, and ongoing support.

  • Is there a refund policy?

No - because places are limited and the  content is available to you once the programme begins, we don’t offer refunds. We encourage you to review the course details carefully before booking to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

  • Will this replace seeing my GP or health visitor?

No. This programme is educational and supportive, not a replacement for medical advice. If you’re worried about your child’s growth or health, always speak with your GP, health visitor, or paediatrician.

  • Do I have to share my story publicly?

Not at all. The private community and Q&A are there if you want to engage, but there’s no pressure. You can take part in whatever way feels right for you.

  • Can both parents join?

Yes! One booking covers your household. We encourage partners, grandparents, or anyone else involved in mealtimes to watch along - consistency between caregivers makes a huge difference.

  • How many spaces are available?

Spaces are limited to 150 parents to keep the group manageable and the support personal. Once those places are filled, we’ll open a waitlist for future cohorts.

STILL GOT A QUESTION?

If something’s not covered here, just ask. We’ll do our best to help (and might even add your question to this page for other parents too).
